2020 ACIEK Conference in June-Virtually
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the academic community in multiple ways, with canceled in-person events and even classes. We are also aware of our responsibility in taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our participants by replacing physical meetings with telecommunications as much as possible. A virtual ACIEK Conference is the best solution.
We have unanimously decided to make ACIEK 2020-Madrid the first ever virtual ACIEK Conference. Given the international situation, we have no option but to adapt, so we have decided to make the conference a fully web-based event.
To achieve the stated objectives, we will provide the means for all authors to present their papers and attend the other presentations in the technical program. The same strategy will be used for the keynote speeches and the presentations by editors on how to publish in their journals.
All presentations and papers will have the same chances of being published in the affiliated journals of the 2020 Conference in this virtual format as they had in previous in-person ACIEK Conferences. You will receive feedback and review comments in July/August after the 2020 ACIEK Conference.
Our priority must now be everyone’s safety. It is therefore with great sadness that we must postpone our regular in-person ACIEK Conferences until the Paris ACIEK Conference in June 2021. We are confident that this situation will be resolved as soon as possible, and we will once again be pleased to welcome you in person in Paris.
We offer you and your colleagues our full support during this unique situation and these uncertain times. We will remain at your side to support you in whatever you need.

CALL FOR PAPERS FOR A SPECIAL ISSUE OF PSYCHOLOGY & MARKETING
How Can Marketing Expertise Be Applied to Stop Crime Against Wildlife?
Rhinoceros horn is worth its weight in gold due to misguided beliefs and widely perpetrated myths about alleged—but proven to be non-existent—medicinal properties. Elephants are ruthlessly slaughtered for their ivory tusks, and tigers are at the brink of extinction due to a widely illegal trade in their various body parts. While marketers have traditionally been called upon to use their methods and magic to increase public demand and/or consumption of particular goods, there is literally a life-or-death imperative for marketers to devise ways to decrease and eradicate public demand and/or consumption of sundry gray or black market goods derived as a result of crimes against wildlife. Government action such as the establishment of wildlife preserves, and the funding of armed, anti-poaching task forces, while useful, may only serve to increase consumer demand by making products of wildlife crime scarcer, and hence, more valuable. This Special Issue will focus on the too-long-neglected question posed in the title of this Special Issue as it applies to all wildlife and to all wildlife crime.
Manuscripts of all types pertaining to all varieties of wildlife and wildlife crime across the globe will be considered for inclusion in this Special Issue by the Executive Editor and the Editor-in-Chief of this Journal, Rajan Nataraajan and Ronald Jay Cohen respectively.
To submit a manuscript, please follow the manuscript submission guidelines as detailed under “Instructions to Authors” on the Wiley Psychology & Marketing website (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/page/journal/15206793/homepage/forauthors.html). Address your cover letter to Richard Harnish (email@example.com), Psychology & Marketing Special Issues Editor, and note in your cover letter that your manuscript is being submitted for consideration for publication in the “Stop Wildlife Crime” Special Issue. The deadline for submitting manuscripts for this Special Issue is May 30, 2020.

We have an important announcement concerning our organization´s name. It is apparent that the conference attracts a large number of Entrepreneurship-themed papers. Furthermore, the conference offers several annual special issues, special sections in regular issues, or accepted papers around the Entrepreneurship theme. Therefore, it is logical that the organization rebrands to reflect Entrepreneurship within its title. Innovation and entrepreneurship are interrelated but distinct business management subject areas. Therefore, to effectively represent our mission and future, we have added the word ‘Entrepreneurship’ to the organization’s name.
Thus, with immediate effect, we are moving from “GIKA” to “Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Knowledge Academy.” We believe this move will better represent our strategic activities. The 2019 conference in Verona will hence be entitled Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Knowledge Academy 2019 conference.
