On Monday 27th of September, World Tourism Day, the ACIEK 2020 Seville Conference held the official presentation of its 16th edition, ACIEK 2022 Seville, in the city hall of Seville with all the authorities.
The presentation of the ACIEK Seville 2022 conference, which took place in the Salón Colón of Seville City Hall, was attended by the Mayor of Seville, Juan Espadas; the Vice-Rector of Knowledge Transfer of the University of Seville, Manuel Felipe Rosa; Professor Fred Phillips, editor in chief of the Journal Technological Forecasting & Social Change and Vice-President of ACIEK; the Chair of the Conference and Professor of Marketing and Market Research, Manuel Rey; the General Secretary of the Economy of the Andalusian Regional Government and Professor of Marketing and Market Research of the University of Seville, José Ignacio Castillo; and the professional representatives of the Observatory of Knowledge and Research (OKRE).
For the first time, the 16th Academy of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Knowledge Conference will be a hybrid event, combining the in-person experience with all the advantages of a virtual conference. Virtual attendees will have access to the all sessions in streaming. The technical program will include physical sessions with on-site presentations and virtual (online) sessions for remote participants.
Seville, capital city of Andalusia, located in the South of Spain, has around 800,000 inhabitants. The city is known worldwide for its nice weather , its warm and festive atmosphere, its kind people, a reasonable cost of living, as well as its traditions and village festivals. With a privileged climate, Seville is a universal, worldwide known and most visited city, which has served as an inspiration of painters and writers.
The University of Seville (US) is the second largest in Spain in terms of number of students (over 70.000), and the first in Andalucía. At the center of gravity of the city’s social and cultural life, the university owns an extensive historic-artistic collection amounting to thousands of pieces. It is on a par with some of Spain’s major museums.
